It is situated at 45.84? North, 20.45? East. In 2002, the city had a total population of 41,825, while the Kikinda municipality had 66,800 inhabitants. It is the administrative centre of the North Banat District of Serbia. Most of the local communities have an ethnic Serb majority, while one local community has a Hungarian ethnic majority: Sajan (Hungarian: Szaj?n). Two others have over 20% Hungarians: Banatska Topola (Hungarian:T?r?ktopolya) and Rusko Selo (Hungarian:Toront?loroszi). (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.)
