A fishing town of the same name Sok Kwu Wan in the bay includes a cluster of seafood restaurants near the ferry pier. The town is served by ferries from the Outlying Ferry Pier No. 4 in Central, taking 35 to 45 minutes, and from Aberdeen via Mo Tat, taking about 30 minutes. (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.) Occupied by the UK in 1841, Hong Kong was formally ceded by China the following year; various adjacent lands were added later in the 19th century.
