Its territory is now in the Muharraq Governorate. The Hidd area is close to the Bahrain International Airport. There is also a large power plant and water desalination project in Hidd. The Hidd Industrial Area consists of a large number of factories. The Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard (ASRY) is also located in Hidd. (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.)
